Glass + Steel

Colchester, Vermont    |    2006

Glass + Steel is a residence located on a narrow site on Lake Champlain. A large wall of glass and three saw-tooth cantilevered bays provide extensive lake views on an otherwise narrow and constricted site. A steel structural framework allows for an open floor plan for communal spaces. These spaces open onto large patios and further connect the indoors and the lakefront beyond. Dynamic composition of glass, steel concrete, cedar and copper create a natural palette blend the house into its surroundings.
